Prof. Park is a breast surgeon and surgical oncologist at Yonsei University College of Medicine. He is a pioneer in robotic mastectomy, performing the first human case in Asia in 2016 and developing a gasless technique for the procedure. He has also performed the first robotic mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection using the da Vinci SP system. A high-volume surgeon, he performed over 500 breast surgeries in 2018 and his team at Severance Hospital completed 200 robotic mastectomies in 2020. Prof. Park leads the Korea Robot-Endoscopy & Minimal Access Breast Surgery Study Group and has published over 70 scientific articles. His research focuses on robot breast surgery, oncoplastic surgery, surgical oncology, and related fields.
